Sadie my lady

I want to introduce you to Sadie, my beautiful 1 1/2 year old Havanese. I never really thought of myself as a small dog person - I grew up with one that was about 45lbs - but I had to weigh the fact that I live in a studio apartment with wanting a dog and wanting a dog won. So Sadie became a member of my family about a year ago. Not being particularly adept at keeping things alive - plants, goldfish, to name a few - my mom was fairly concerned, but hopeful that somehow taking care of a puppy would flip my maternal instinct switch and her dream of grandchildren would soon follow (for the record, not happening any time soon). I have managed to keep Sadie alive and pretty well behaved and have found an enormous amount of comfort and happiness from this little furball. These pictures are from a recent trip out to west hampton - a place I love in the off season. Sadie and I spent a cool November day running around on the beach. Pretty perfect.
